Davey Strikes Back
When David Desharnais struggled out of the gate this season, he heard about it from all sides in hockey mad Montreal. Then things suddenly got a whole lot quieter.
There are no shortcuts when it comes to earning respect in today's NHL. Travis Moen has spent the past decade building his dressing room street cred one hit, backcheck and penalty kill at a time.
Some players are remembered for the big goals they score or the records they set. Steve Begin's enduring legacy in Montreal has little to do with how often his name appeared on a scoresheet.
Tattoos and Tailgates with Chuck Hughes
It makes sense that if you're going to ask a celebrity chef to prepare dishes inspired by the taste of Canadiens players, you connect with a guy whose initials are ''C.H.'' In this issue, Chuck Hughes prepares a sea bass for Travis Moen.
On The Rise: Connor Crisp
When nature hands you size, you need to take advantage of it. That’s exactly what Connor Crisp has done his entire career, and it’s what will help him navigate his way up the ranks.
Breezy Does it
In his near two decade career in the NHL, Patrice Brisebois spanned multiple generations with the Canadiens. There isn't much the Stanley Cup champ hasn't seen over the years, so we called on the retired blue-liner and current Canadiens player development coach to share some insider info with us.
Got a question for Breezer? With luck, the man himself just might answer it. Send your question today to email@example.com and it could end up featured in an upcoming issue.
The Last Word: Hugh Jackman
He may have achieved A-list level success by bringing Marvel mutant Wolverine to the big screen in the X-Men movie franchise, but Hugh Jackman is more than a buff superhero with an adamantium skeleton and lethal set of claws. An entrepreneur, philanthropist, classically-trained thespian, and one-time People magazine Sexiest Man Alive titleholder, the 45-year-old refuses to be typecast, even when it comes to his sporting preferences. While he loves all things Aussie like any good Sydney-born boy should, Jackman also hides a soft spot for hockey, as we discovered during his recent trip to the Bell Centre.
