Captain AmericaAfter seven years of seasoning, Max Pacioretty is ready to take the reins in Montreal.
Some players lead wearing letters on their sweaters. Dale Weise has always done so wearing his heart on his sleeve.
Made in MTL
It's been over eight years since he played his last game as a Hab, but Sheldon Souray will always have a special place in his heart for Montreal.
Tattoos and Tailgates with Chuck Hughes
It makes sense that if you’re going to ask a celebrity chef to prepare dishes to enjoy while watching a Canadiens game, you connect with a guy whose initials are “C.H.”. Watch Chuck Hughes on TV and it’s obvious the Montreal native knows his way around a kitchen; not only can he chop, sauté and braise with the best of them, but he can also hold his own on the ice. When he’s not busy running two of Montreal’s hottest eateries, Garde Manger andLe Bremner, there’s a good chance Hughes can be found at the Bell Centre taking in a Habs game. An expert in all things culinary and Canadiens, it was only natural to have the inked-up gourmand create some customized specials that any Habs fan with access to an oven could whip up and share, tailgate-style while watching the Habs run up the score.
On the Rise – Ryan JohnstonRyan Johnston thought he’d be heading back to the college hockey ranks come fall. His play on the ice helped change those plans.
Like a Boss
Having grown up at the Forum alongside some of the greatest players to ever don the bleu-blanc-rouge while enjoying a front row seat for some of the most exciting moments in Canadiens history, Geoff Molson understands what it’s like to be a die-hard Habs fan. Whether he’s in his office at the Bell Centre or in his usual seats behind the bench, the Canadiens owner and president lives and breathes hockey, 365 days a year. With a lifetime of stories at his disposal, we thought the big boss would be the perfect person to share some of his favorite memories about his childhood team. No question is too big or too small for the man at the top!
Got a question for Geoff? With luck, the man himself just might answer it. Send your question today to email@example.com and it could end up featured in an upcoming issue.
The Last Word: Barbie Blank
After charming wrestling fans around the world as WWE Diva Kelly Kelly, Barbie Blank also cast her spell on former Canadiens defenseman, Sheldon Souray. Looking to spread her wings and make a name for herself following a successful career in the ring, Blank stole the show as a cast member on the reality show WAGS, which follows the lives of wives and girlfriends of sports figures. We caught up with the 28-year-old TV star to learn more about her former life in the WWE and how Souray has helped hone her love for hockey.
